DAVINCI - “BEER, BITCHES, & BULLSHIT” FT. ROACH GIGZ & C-PLUS
DaVinci’s new EP, Feast Or Famine, has been out for a little over a month now, and the visuals continue to roll in, including this latest video for “Beer, Bitches & Bullshit,” a track that features fellow San Francisco rapper Roach Gigz, as well as Sacramento’s own C-Plus. While videos like “D.R.E.A.M,” or the mini-documentary “A Fillmore Story” offered a more serious look at DaVinci’s life, the visual for “Beer, Bitches & Bullshit,” finds DaVinci, along with his fellow Nor-Cal rappers kicking back, enjoying life’s simpler pleasures…kind of. “I had a lot of fun shooting this video,” explains DaVinci, “obviously I was smoking, rapping, and chilling with my folks and thats always fun, but I also had fun with the storyline that the directors came with. It’s some shit a lotta rappers probably would be too uncomfortable doing, but we thought it was hilarious.”
The Erick Lee directed clip isn’t all fun and games though, as the viewer watches all three rappers end up at the hands of a salacious young woman who uses DaVinci’s, Roach’s, and C-Plus’ weaknesses – namely, a love of liquor, women, and weed – against them, each waking up the next morning realizing they have went just a little too hard the previous night. “Partying can go wrong if you’re bullshiting to the point that you’re unaware of what’s going on around you at all times,” notes DaVinci.
Download Feast or Famine (and if you haven’t already, his debut album, The Day The Turf Stood Still) now.
