“Faces of Life is a solo exhibition by El Mac, a graffiti mural artist and painter from Phoenix/Los Angeles. Since beginning to paint graffiti in the mid-90s as “The Mac,” his murals have become recognized landmarks in cities across the globe. These pieces, often photorealistic depictions of everyday people and ethereal women, utilize distinctive brushwork and shading patterns that focus...

dat new new.
Fabolous’ new album Loso’s Way is out today and I gotta say that it’s pretty fresh. With production from Ryan leslie, Khalil, Alchemist, Jermaine Dupri, and more, it’s worth a listen. I’m not the biggest Fabolous fan but it’s been on constant rotation (especially tracks #3,#10, and #12) since I got it. Cop it here.

dear moleskine.
can’t wait. from Okayplayer: It has been a minute since anyone has heard from the mysterious Jay Electronica. Just to let you know he’s alive and well, working on new music, and apparently traveling both the globe and time(?), Jay cut some footage from his trip to Asia to a new track of his produced by Just Blaze called “Dear Moleskine.” The footage was shot on location by Jason...

role models.
I had a discussion the other night with a dear friend (who needs to start a blog btw. Ahem, MEL haha) about role models and the part they play in our lives and their presence in society. Growing up, I’ve always had a handful of role models. From family and friends to public figures, they’ve all influenced my life in one way or another and continue to do so. But when thinking about...

"you're just too handsome"
I stumbled upon Thrillist thanks in part to URB’s blast recommending that new new, and since it’s URB, and they’ve never steered me wrong (and because I’m slightly biased since I was a short-lived intern), I went ahead and sold my soul and subscribed to the list. With witty remarks to help you get through your day and give you an ego boost such as “your manhood is...

mo' money, mo' problems
I’m currently reading a book called “Unstoppable” which is a collective of stories of successful people who overcame adversities and misfortune. One of the stories that really touched me (pause) is about Millard and Linda Fuller. Their names might not sound familiar but their cause might ring a bell. They are founders of the Habitat for Humanity International. Milliard Fuller was a self-made...
